Are You In An Abusive Relationship?
Posted by Eleyinte Samuel at 04:50
Here are a couple of questions to ask yourself.
1) Has your partner ever been sexually abused as a child?
2) Does your partner blame you when he/she does something bad?
(As in it’s always "YOUR" fault.)
3) Is your partner chronically angry or depressed?
4) Is your partner unpredictable?
5) Has your partner ever abused you?
6) Does your partner have double standards for your behavior and her behavior?
7) Has your partner ever tried to manipulate you?
8) Is your partner incompetent in daily living skills? (Loses job after job, etc.)
9) Does your partner hang around a “bad” group of people?
10) Does your partner exhibit any anti-social behavior?
If you have answered "yes" to any of these questions, you should be extremely careful with your relationship. All of these "symptoms", except for number one - which is okay if he/she has put it behind him/her or learned to manage his/her pain - are deadly.
